Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: A Prophetic Warning

The wolf was super close to my face and body, sniffing and growling. I felt as if he was going to attack me any second.

About 3 a.m. on January 5, 2026, I was awakened from a startling dream about a masked figure. I knew right away that this was a message for the Body of Christ and a prophetic word for this seasonfor anyone with ears to hear.

The Dream

I was with a friend and her husband, and we were at an event. I had an app on my phone that rang when someone showed up at my home. I could hear them but not see them. It was similar to a Ring doorbell. But with this app, it seems I could see inside the home as well.

So someone called through this app, and I picked up the phone. It was a man’s voice. It seems like he was trying to convince me to come home, but he sounded a bit off, as if he was taunting me in some sort of way. He did let me know that he was interested in me.

I couldn’t see him physically, but through the app, I somehow knew the area where he was in my home. He was in a huge reception-like area that opened to my back balcony. It was covered but led right outside. And somehow I knew he was sitting on a couch in that area, which was a white sectional. The home was huge.

My friend’s husbandlet’s call him Davidasked if I wanted him to go check the man out before I talked to him (or agreed to anything he asked).

So we both went over to my home. We got to where the man was, but for some reason, he couldn’t see me. I sat on the opposite side of the sectional couch from where he was.

David, however, went right up to the man, and he was calling him out because we knew he had an ulterior motive. And then, somehow, David knew the man was wearing a fake mask over his real face, and all of a sudden, he pulled the mask down.

Initially, underneath the mask (he had on a mask that made him look totally human), it seemed like another man, but then a young striped tiger quickly fell from the man’s belly area as if he had had a C-section and birthed the tiger. As soon as the tiger fell out, it ran away, toward the front of the home. David, of course, very surprised, said “This thing …!” and also ran toward the front of the home. At that moment, I could clearly see that what we thought was a man was actually a gigantic white wolf, still sitting up in the same position on the couch.

During David’s encounter with ‘the man,’ the appearance of the tiger, and the man’s real identity being revealed, I had been in a bit of a shock, frozen in place, it seemed.

As I sat stunned, processing what was happening, the wolf ran after David. At that moment, I contemplated running outside, since it was close. But before I could make up my mind to move, the wolf was back. I knew he still couldn’t see me, but I quickly realized that he sensed my presence; conseqently, he instantly ran over to where I was.

I closed my eyes, sat really still, and said to myself, “Lord help me.” The wolf was super close to my face and body, sniffing and growling. I felt as if he was going to attack me any second. I was concerned that I could be mauled, but I was also surprisingly calm. I remained still and kept my eyes closed and trusted God to hear my prayer and save me.

After what seemed like forever in this position, I slowly awakened out of my dream.

The Interpretation

We are living in unsettling times, worldwide. What looks like one thing could actually be another, things that look ‘normal’ on the surface can turn out to be wildly abnormal, and bold positive promises may really be disguises for manipulation toward ulterior motives—just like the wolf in this dream.

This could play out in our personal lives, business transactions, politics, the media, etc. I recently took an AI Journalism course and found out that there are over 400 fake online news media sites that look and feel real. They are in effect like wolves, preying on curious, innocent people who click—and believe the half-truths, and the downright lies.

YOU NEED DISCERNMENT

In 2026, the wolves will come, so how can you prepare? Pray for spiritual discernment. Pray to recognize the “princes in your midst.” Ezekiel 22:27 was referring to leaders within Israel, acting like wolves among their own people. Usually, the wolves are someone who can easily blend into your world, thus, their ability to fool many.

During this season, tune your spirit to God’s channel, so He can reveal who you are dealing with: an honest person who’s full of truth, with good intentions, or a “wolf” who masks their true identity by appearing to be something they’re not. You need to be able to ascertain whether the ‘white clothing’ they’re wearing, like the wolf in my dream, is an attempt to seem pure and innocent, although inwardly, they are full of darkness.

You’ve likely heard the phrase, “If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.” We are body, soul, and spirit, which can sense when “something is not right.”

You know that popular saying, “Something told me not to do that,” that you think about once something negative happened because you didn’t heed that inner voice? Well, I submit to you that that “something” is God’s Holy Spirit communicating with your spirit. Listen to Him. He will save you from challenges, pain, and heartache, and maybe even save your life.

Sometimes God uses others to steer you away from the wolf, as he used David in my dream.

I had no idea the ‘man’ was really a wolf wearing a mask. My antenna did alert me to the fact that something was amiss, but David was the one who initiated the investigation. Furthermore, he was brave enough to not only confront the wolf but also tear down his mask, thereby playing a major part in my rescue in the situation.

“BEWARE OF THE TIGER

The tiger that sprung out of the wolf was orange with black stripes, like a Bengal tiger, considered one of the most dangerous tigers because of its size. When you research tigers in general, you will discover words such as “ferocious,” “aggressive,” and “cunning.”

The tiger had been inside the wolf. I believe all those adjectives mentioned above about tigers represented the wolf’s character.

Wolves in sheeps clothing can be rather destructive in our lives if they are not discerned and put in check. In my dream, the wolf could have literally killed me, had it not been for discernment and God’s protection.

Remember the tiger ran away as soon as it was released. Perhaps that represented God disarming the wolf of his ability to harm me. He still looked and sounded ferocious when he was in my face, but I had prayed, God heard, and the wolf was reduced to only noise.

YOU CAN BE HIDDEN

In my dream, although I had been sitting on the same couch as the wolf, watching things unfold, he never saw me. And later, when he was super close to my face, he didn’t even touch me. It was as if something had blinded him and also held him back from advancing further.

I was within biting range, yet remained untouched. I believe that represented the fact that God had hidden me from the wolf.

Just like the wolf was able to get close to me but not harm me in my dream, in real life, God can protect you and hide you also.

PARTING THOUGHTS

Heads up: Wolves in sheep’s clothing are on the horizon.

Just make sure your discernment antenna is up, listening for guidance from God’s Holy Spirit, and that you are obedient.

Selah.

BOUND

I prayed for the box that the enemy had placed him in … to be shattered.

As soon as I woke up on the morning of 6/23/23, I had a prophetic vision with two parts.

THE VISION PART 1

I saw the face of a man. His face was dirty and his hair was disheveled. He appeared to have been been sweating and was shaking, uncontrollably, it seemed. He was totally enclosed inside a light-colored wooden box that looked like an extremely narrow coffin. All I saw was his face, and I could tell that the box was totally surrounding him, to the point that he could barely move. Even though it seemed as if he had been left to die in a remote landscape where no one could find him, apparently, he was still breathing. The coffin’s planks were maybe an eighth of an inch apart, so he could see outside of the box yet was trapped inside. His skin tone was light, and he had dark hair and features. Honestly, he was very handsome and looked as if he could easily be a model.

THE VISION PART II

In the second part of the vision, I saw the same man’s face, but this time he was not in a box. His face was clean, and his hair was combed. He was standing upright, smiling and laughing. Furthermore, the man was no longer shaking, or fearful, or anything of the sort. The atmosphere around him was sunny and pleasant, and his countenance was cheerful.

REFLECTIONS

Immediately, I began praying for this man. I initially prayed as if he was a real person who was actually in grave danger. My friend Melinda pointed out to me that perhaps he didn’t have anyone in his family to pray for him and so God chose me to pray instead. Who knows? I prayed first for rescue, for divine favor to be discovered where he was hidden, for healing, and for freedom.

My second thought was that this entire vision may be symbolic. The face could be real, but the visions may be symbolic, with spiritual meanings—messages from God. The Bible tells of many times when God delivered messages through dreams and visions; He still does this today.

I continued praying but this time from a spiritually symbolic point of view. I prayed for the box that the enemy had placed him in, indicative of affliction, grave trouble, or sickness—forcing his life to be at a standstill—to be shattered. I prayed that whatever was keeping him bound would be destroyed because it was keeping him practically paralyzed in his current position, which seemed dire. I earnestly asked the Lord to bless him such that he would break free, for the chains that obviously held him to be loosed. His enemies had planned his demise, but check this out:

You planned something bad for me, but God produced something good from it, in order to save the lives of many people, just as he’s doing today.

Genesis 50:20 CEB

Perhaps, in the second vision, God was assuring me that He had already freed this man. More likely, He was showing me that the smiling, clean face, along with the brightness of his new atmosphere, represented the situation the man could be in, the results that could be—depending on his or someone else’s prayers. God does not force Himself upon anyone. How would you like it if someone had to force the person you love to love you back? No, that’s not how the Creator of the universe rolls.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6 NLT

I read something recently that said we should either worry or pray, but not both. God’s instructions make this crystal clear:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.

Philippians 4:6 NLT

Here’s the solution for anyone who feels as if they’ve been placed in a box—discouraged, stressed, bound:

PRAY

God’s word says if my people would humble themselves, and pray … then I will hear … forgive … restore … (II Chronicles 7:14).

MANY MAY RELATE

Whether the man in my vision is real or not, I believe there are many who can related to him and his situation.

Do you know anyone who may relate to this vision? Is it you?

  • Perhaps you feel as if everything is closing in on you, as if you were in a box.
  • Perhaps you feel entrapped, and you don’t see a way out.
  • Perhaps you are nervous and uncertain about some things in your life.
  • Perhaps you have been involved in something you are uncomfortable with, or that you know is wrong, and you don’t feel clean, spiritually.
  • Perhaps you look good on the outside, as if you have it all together, but on the inside you are distraught, maybe even depressed.
  • Perhaps you can see beyond your circumstances, but your feet feel mired in their current position.
  • Perhaps you are scared and ‘shaking’ and don’t know where to get help from or how to ask others, or God, for help.

GOOD NEWS

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

I Peter 5:10

God is a restorer. He strengthens you to be a repairer of the breach (Isaiah 58:12). He is a way maker. He parts seas. He raises people from the dead. He heals incurable diseases. There is absolutely nothing and no situation that He cannot handle.

I pray in this moment that all who find themselves bound would soon be described in the following manner:

  • No longer bound
  • Completely set free
  • With chains broken
  • Surrounded by the marvelous, miraculous light of Christ
  • Smiling, genuinely, more often than not
  • Falling into the arms of the Heavenly Father, over and over
  • Looking to Jesus as both Savior and Lord
  • Rejoicing that the Holy Spirit guides every part of your life

Selah.
